Sales Begin at Two Northside Piers
Sales have begun at Two Northside Piers, a residential tower that is under construction at the Williamsburg waterfront community of Northside Piers. The building will rise 30-stories and offer 270 studio, one-, two- , three-bedroom homes, including eight penthouses.
Rotating Art Exhibit at One Northside Piers
Works from two Williamsburg-based artists are being displayed at One Northside Piers and are the first installment in a rotating exhibit of works by Brooklyn artists in the buildings lobby. This initial exhibition features two of Jean Wolffs abstract paintings based on a circle and a grid and manipulated by color and two pigmented steel sculptures by Nathan Slate Joseph. Wolffs work was included in exhibitions at the Brooklyn Museum and Weatherspoon Art Gallery in North Carolina; she has had solo shows in the United States and abroad. Josephs work is in the collections of the Whitney Museum of American Art and the Brooklyn Museum, among others.
Sculpture Installed at Williamsburgs' Northside Piers
A large stainless steel scupture was installed on the pier at Northside Piers, a new mixed-use development on Brooklyns Williamsburg waterfront. The pier extends 400 feet into the East River and will soon be presented to the city and permanently opened to the public.
Northside Piers Hosts BK Fashion Week{end}
Northside Piers acted as the host venue for BK-Fashion Week{end}, the primary annual event for Brooklyn-based fashion designers. The three- day fashion show included a mix of runway presentations, emerging design and cutting-edge art.
Opera Company of Brooklyn Performs at Northside Piers
Opera enthusiasts gathered at Williamsburgs One Northside Piers in November of 2007 for a performance of Tosca by the Opera Company of Brooklyn.
